Authorities say a motorcyclist who was hit by a shuttle bus and dragged down a northern California freeway was a member of the Hells Angels, and his death is being investigated as a homicide.

California Highway Patrol Sgt. Trent Cross says it appears there was a dispute Saturday between the biker and the driver of the paratransit van, who is suspected of intentionally hitting the man.
San Leandro police Lt. Greg Lemmon tells the Contra Costa Times newspaper that the biker was dragged for about a mile on Interstate 580 before he was freed. He was declared dead at a hospital.
Lemmon says the shuttle driver has been arrested.
Neither man’s name has been released.
The eastbound lanes of I-580 remained closed for several hours as authorities investigated.
